I bought a 496rc2 but I was a little 'disappointed regarding the movement on' horizontal axis for panning, blocking the ball, his head stuck not allowing you to move to the 'axis mentioned. On your head you have 2 levers, limited edition one for unlock / lock the head and a clutch. The 498 has three levers, plus two equal to your third one that has a lock / unlock the rotation.
