Good day to all. Before long will purchase my first tripod and I chose the manrotto 190. Now for me I see in doubt about the choice of the head. I would have bought a ball head because it seemed the most versatile but reading stock photo a topic I came some p must, especially considering I do mostly landscape photos. Staying on Manfrotto and knowing that I have a 7d, with the aim heavier than the 100-400, can you tell me what the type and model of the Manfrotto head, that fits the landscape photography? Thanks
Hello Francis! If you are interested in landscape photography, no doubt the ball head is not the best solution in my opinion. True, most rapid to be set, but totally inaccurate in composition, with coseguente need to straighten out later in post production, no matter how simple it is to always cstringe you to crop and lose some of what caught. I currently use a 410jr that rack .. Basically infinitely precise, but quite expensive. A good compromise between price and rapidity of use the three-way head 804RC2. Here are the features: http://www.manfrotto.it/testa-new-basic-con-piastra-rapida For the weight no problem holding 4kg! Hello! --------------------

hello I use the 804RC2 Head Serie A 3 Movements with Quick Attack and very good .. because of solidity. though .. I use it with the Manfrotto 055XPROB. everything when I want something when I want to firmly ........................................ go light .. use the 190XPROB where I mount a ball head 496RC2 remember I did some testing with this configuration and 5D Mark II and 400mm f/5.6 L ... to photograph the details ... (say, a leaf far away ... a lizard who takes a small stone .. Sun, the Moon ... Jupiter ..) a configuration stock photo quite poor ... everything vibrates even with the collar ... and without additional weight as the BG ( though stock photo perhaps better with the BG). I ..................................... configuration much more viable for details species to focus properly .... for, for a landscape II configuration should caversela .. under conditions of weak wind, waiting for 10 "or so, so that stabilizes the whole thing ........ .............................. tightening, from my point of view, the better the 804RC2, although / despite comparing .. characteristics, this has a load capacity of 4Kg, 6Kg against the ball head. ... -------------------- Good Light

Excellent choice the 190 ... For the choice of the head, to go with the landscapes 410j that you have already advised, the most accurate. For a little stock photo more fluid movements and other kinds of photos where everything stock photo to be fast, you need a ball head as the 496 or the 498 ...
