Shotokan karate school 58 was founded under the influence of various martial arts, was founded by Master Gichin Funakoshi and his son Yoshitaka. Funakoshi was a man who was 'officially' brought karate from Okinawa in Japan, although KENV Mabuni, Motobu Choki and
other Okinavljani actively taught karate in Japan before. Shoto was the pseudonym 58 which Funakoshi signed his poetry, which means "pine waves" ([1], p. 85), while kan means "house". And for that reason, shotokan 58 was the name of the hall where he trained his disciples. Shotokan is one of the largest karate styles (the seven largest Shotokan, Shorin-ryu, Vado-ryu, Shito-ryu, Goju-ryu, Kyokushin, and Kenpo)
