I am quite disappointed canon 1dx with this new Canon 7D mark II because of this video made by Johnnie Behiri. Expected equalize competition in image definition, but this video still looks the same sensor and processor we have in 70D, T5i, only improves the ISO. The proof that I was not the only one to notice canon 1dx it is in the comments to the video people speak in the same "soft image" than other Canon. What amazes me even more is that the Johnnie Behiri added 25% sharpening in post production, ie the image is further washed that we have. I hope to improve in the final version, but it never happened when they publish beta versions of Canon cameras. There is no reference to any used ISO.
I did not think the bad image and did not understand the sharpening compared to washed image. One thing is clearly the other is the latitude. canon 1dx We will need more pictures and different situations and locations to judge better.
Staff speaks. I saw the video before reading text on the page and the first thing I thought was "What canon 1dx soft image." I seemed to actually be the filhota of 5DMkIII. I was quite disappointed. Another thing I noticed was the high contrast. Little information on the high and the low, but this may have been a choice of the director. To really evaluate the performance of the camera will have to wait for new tests, more technical. But the sharpness has to see that not improved at all. What a shame ...
